About this place ...
Villelongue-Dels-Monts
A French family-orientated village set in the Alberes Massif on the scenic road that runs through the hills to Argeles-sur-Mer and the Cote Vermeille. Only 20 minute drive to Le Racou beach. There are a few English speaking residents here but mostly it's young French families and retirees. It has a village shop that gets bread and croissant deliveries daily. The local bar has great concerts and DJ sets. With good restaurants, a post office, a hairdressers, a Medical Centre, two Physio clinics and the village primary school and maternal, plus a baby creche, it's popular with families.
Positives
Considerations
Great for young families, close to the sea but far enough to avoid the crowds. Great for hiking, trail-running and cycling. Three supermarkets within 15 mins drive.
Not that many English Speaking residents. Quiet in winter. Sleepy village life.
