Explore your living choices in the South of France

A spa-town located in a valley to the south of the Conflent at the feet of Mt Canigou. Vernet-les-Bains has a nice lost-in-time feel. The village centre has a number of cafés, restaurants and small shops around a market-place. The setting is impressive. Canigou's snow-capped peaks (for half the year) give the village an Alpine look. There are great hikes up Canigou and in the surrounding countriside and the town is a destination for active holiday-makers. 

There is a nice range of property from 1980s apartments, old village houses, 1990s housing developments, architectural villas and mansions. However, a fair number of these are second homes, meanign that it is considerably quieter in winter than summer.
