About this place ...

Trouillas

One of the larger Aspres villages, close to Thuir and easily connected to roads into Perpignan or out towards Spain. It has a new school complex, an indoor tennis court, a large "boulodrome" with an active petanque club and several take-aways, small local shops. There is a café on the main street which serves a good lunch but sadly doesn't have any outdoor seating. There is also a very small market once a week.

Like most of the Aspres, the main idustry is viticulture and stone-fruits. Trouillas has 12 independent wineries and a cave cooperative open to the public. There are also two good farm-shops and an olive-producer withing walking distance of the centre.

It's popular mainly with French families and retirees who want to live in a quiet, country village but still be able to drive into Perpignan and the surrounding area.

Positives
Considerations

Newly built school-complex. Skateboard park. Plenty of parking. Facilities like a creche and a physio clinic. Really well located with two different routes to take to get into and around Perpignan.

Bus service is not frequent, definitely need a car. No large local shops.
