About this place ...
Toulouges
Toulouges (not Toulouse) is a large village to the south of Perpignan which has grown in recent years to become a popular place for commuting families and those wishing to be close to Perpignan but in a village.
The old centre has retained its charm and has a decent number of local shops and cafés. There is a regular market in the town square, a small theatre, a large sports complex and a lovely public park with a summer restaurant and various events during the year including the Catalan Sausage festival and the largest Natural wine fair in the region.
The village is well served by bus and cycle paths as well as being next to the motorway junction for road transport.
A new public college as well as private maternelle and primaire schools in the village mean that it's a popular choice for parents.
Positives
Considerations
Local shops and cafés make it quite vibrant. Well connected by road. Wide choice of properties. Good schools.
Far more popular with French families than with Expats.
