An attractive village on the river at the entrance to the Agly Valley. It's accessible from Perpignan and also on a new cycle route. The old village is up a steep hill from the bridge but doesn't many amenities. There is a Cave Cooperative and a new bistro on the main road.

There is a cement factory not far away. The main road through the town is busy with trucks.
